I’d like to take this opportunity to share a brief update on upgrades to the Terwillegar Corridor.

As you may recall, I had a motion unanimously pass at City Council in February of this year.

You can review the motion here. Since the passage of my Motion, I have had the opportunity to sit down with City officials and reiterate the need for a corridor that works for the residents of Ward 9.

They have heard that message loud and clear, and are working on plans to present to the community this fall. I am confident that we will have options presented that reflect the needs of the community for reduced times sitting in traffic, and allowing for better flow onto the Whitemud.

Thank you for your patience as this work is completed - I am confident that in taking the summer to get these plans put together, we will get it right.

Going into the Capital Budget discussions this fall, we will have a vision for the Terwillegar Corridor that I will advocate on behalf of to my colleagues, so that we can get shovels in the ground and see improvements in commute times as soon as possible.
