For those of you who haven’t had a chance to meet me, I’m Tim Cartmell, your Ward 9 Councillor. I am humbled to have been chosen as the Ward 9 representative for City Council.
My wife Cathy and I have been lucky to have raised our three wonderful kids in southwest Edmonton..
I’ve been honoured to hold many local leadership roles within our community, and give back to a city that has given me so much.
Professionally, I have been an engineer for almost three decades, and have had the opportunity to own and operate my own company. I am excited to bring the perspective of a small business owner to City Hall.
The primary focus of my campaign was building better communities, and that will continue to be my focus on City Council. While this means different things to different neighborhoods in our Ward, I heard one primary theme during my campaign - people want their time back. Our communities should be thoughtfully planned out to have the amenities we need right where we live.
When Ward 9 residents go to work each morning, they want solutions for the gridlock that envelops our community. After a busy day at work and in between racing to hockey practice and dance class, they want to spend their remaining time at home, not in congestion.
When it comes time to pay property taxes each year, Ward 9 residents deserve to know that each tax dollar is respected, and goes to the services actually needed to make life better.
My commitment to you as a Ward 9 resident is to always respectfully listen to your comments and concerns about municipal issues.
Community engagement will be a key focus of mine over the next four years, and I welcome you to get in contact by email at [email protected], or by phone at 780-496-8130.
